The buttons below will work for owners of both Pilot and Mechanic Prepware software and Test Prep Plus books + software. If you have not yet purchased Prepware or a Test Prep Plus, you will only be able to run Prepware in DEMO mode (sample of Private Pilot or AMT General). To purchase Prepware, browse under Test Prep in the main menu. This is not for Prepware Apps. Mobile users please check the store on your device to purchase or update apps.
Different versions of Prepware will operate independently of each other. If you purchase the most current Prepware, then you must install Prepware for Windows or Mac, and enter your new activation code. Additionally activation codes purchased for previous editions (2022, 2023) will also work, and should also be used with the most current Prepware software. Codes from 2020 and older will not work with this most current Prepware version.
However, if you have the current version already installed (for instance, Prepware for Private Pilot), and you want to add Prepware for Instrument Rating, you do not need to re-install the software. Simply open your current Prepware, go to the Help menu at the top, and choose “Enter Activation Codes.” For Macintosh computers, the “Enter Activation Codes” link will be in the Prepware menu.
