FAR Series
What does the ASA FAR/AIM have to offer that sets it apart from competitors?
ASA curates the regulations and procedures pertinent to general aviation operators - including the regulations and procedures necessary to operating a small aircraft in the National Airspace System. Books with regulations not pertinent to general aviation operators results in very small and difficult to read text. The ASA FAR/AIM is printed on strong paper that can support highlighting, the text size is readable, and the book includes running headers making it easy for the reader to navigate. ASA offers an ongoing Update Service for readers: www.asa2fly.com/farupdate.
We monitor the Federal Register daily, and keeps readers informed of changes to the content through a free email subscription service. It is for these reasons, the ASA FAR/AIM remains the #1 best seller for aviation regulations.
Is my FAR/AIM good until the end of the year?
ASA publishes the FAR/AIM in September each year. The FAA can make
changes to the FARs any time they deem necessary (via the Federal Registers) and the AIM changes in February and August. We recommend you visit
http://www.asa2fly.com/farupdate to sign up for the Update subscription service -- this free service will provide you with an email whenever
there is a change to the regulations or AIM.
Why does my brand new FAR/AIM not include the most recent changes?
Changes to the Federal Aviation Regulations can occur daily via the
Federal Registers, and the Aeornautical Information Manual is updated every 6 months. Updates provide regulation changes approximately 14 days
after their release, and include final rules released by the FAA but not yet effective.
Keep your FAR/AIM current by signing up for free updates here.
