Download and install instructions for Prewpare 9 in Windows Vista - Multi-part 

As an alternative download procedure, mainly intended for dial-up users, you can download the installer in parts.  Each part is 16MB (with the exception of the last one which is 1.63MB) and there is a small installer file that will combine them all together after downloading.  If you use this method, ensure that you download all 9 parts.  Use the following instructions to download and install.


*Create a folder on your computer where you can download the files.  ALL nine files MUST be downloaded to the same location.

*Select each file and download it to the folder you created in the previous step.  Ensure that you download ALL 9 parts.  The first 8 parts are called 'prepware_9_vista' and are numbered parts 1-8.  The last file is called 'prepware_9_install.exe'

*After all files (9) have been downloaded to the folder you created, close your broswer and navigate to this folder location.  We recommend you use the Windows 'Run' command to do this.  Select 'Start/Run' and then click on the 'Browse' button to locate your folder.

*Once in your folder, locate the file called 'install_prepware_9_vista.exe.bat'.  Click on it to select this file, and select 'Open'.  The 'Browse' window will close and you will be returned to the 'Run' box with the command shown in the 'Run' box.  Click on 'OK'.

*A DOS box will open showing the process of combining the files together.  You will see al 8 parts being combined.  When complete, the DOS window will automatically close.

*Navigate back to the folder where you saved the files (using the Windows 'Run' command), and you will now see the large 116MB installer called 'install_prepware_9_vista'.  Select it, select 'Open' and then it will show in the 'Run' box.  Select 'OK' to initiate the installation process.  Follow the on-screen prompts to install the program.
