How do the FAA Handbooks (AC65-9, 65-12, and 65-15) differ from the Dale Crane AMT Series textbooks (AMT-P, AMT-G, AMT-SYS, AMT-STRUC)? The FAA maintenance handbooks were written almost 40 years ago, and had very few updates over the years (with the exception of the new FAA General Handbook, FAA-H-8083-30). The AMT Series textbooks provide Part 147 training requirements that reflect modern operating procedures and technologies, and are written by an experienced industry expert.
